Dejori Werner

The mountains are the main subject matter of fine-art photographer Werner Dejori, who presents a language that draws strength from the extraordinary intensity of light, enhanced through the choice of black and white and the brushed aluminium surfaces on which he impresses his images. The effect renders the landscape highly plastic, lending the whole a sculptural complexity able to go beyond two-dimensionality towards a greater depth. The mountains are thus brought to life by a supernatural substance, as if possessed by the mystery of light and raised to the level of ancient divinities.
