In my painting I attempt to represent the mountains in the form of abstract shapes and colours: the indescribable spectacle of a golden dawn or the red glow of the mountains at sunset (known as alpenglow) which then softens into a muted lilac before turning into pale white - may it leave a lasting impression. Mountains are not just colour, we also see them in ever-changing shapes. From down in the valley we admire their fragile but powerful architecture and they appear to us as far-off, mysterious mirages; seen from the high mountain pastures, they unveil their secrets and reveal their existence.
