Holzknecht Sigmund

Sigmund Holzknecht's favourite subjects are the high mountain landscapes he paints on wood using oil media; these express all his amazement for the wonders of nature through a use of colour and light that charges the panoramas he describes with lyricism. Holzknecht has taught painting and gilding at the Provincial Vocational School in Ortisei since 1990.
