Perathoner Roland

The story of life passes through the work of Roland Perathoner, a sculptor who uses wood or bronze to produce his symbolic figures. It is not a question of merely sculpting or forging images but of narrating one or several situations. And so his characters appear, musicians or figures sitting placidly and contemplating the world. Characters for the most part small in size, projecting from abstract backgrounds as if they were stand-up comedians intent on celebrating the continuous ritual of existence.
