Mayr Lukas

Lukas Mayr’s art is inspired by the Archaic Period of the Earth, interpreted through the dynamics of the Cosmos. Starting out from the formal purity of the sphere, his works depict the primordial energy of aggregations of galactic matter, which go on to create sculptures whose arrangements echo the ancient votive figurines dedicated to the Mother Goddess, a symbol of fertility. In this sense, Mayr suggests an idea of primitive beauty, where every earthly form is in perfect relationship with the universe, and in which art expresses the spiritual values of ancient populations.
