Crib exhibition

In Val Gardena, a valley celebrated for its long tradition of woodcarving, the Nativity scene is among the most cherished Christmas customs. On Christmas Eve, the Baby Jesus is placed in the simple manger, while the Three Wise Men traditionally arrive only on January 6. At the “Luis Trenker” cultural centre in Ortisei, you can visit an exhibition featuring more than 40 hand carved Nativity scenes from Val Gardena, highlighting the impressive variety and skill of the local artisans.
